Slide Insurance is a Tampa-based Florida insurance technology company founded in 2021. Slide grew rapidly through Citizens depopulation programs and writes a large coastal-Florida book. Slide's brand emphasizes "AI-driven" underwriting and claim handling — meaning carrier-side scope is built on drone imagery, satellite analysis, and computer-vision models.

Slide is tech-forward — drone imagery, AI scope, faster initial decisions. The downside for policyholders: the carrier's scope is generated by computer-vision models that systematically miss interior, hidden, and code-upgrade items. A public adjuster's human Xactimate scope captures what the AI misses.
The contract in force at the date of loss governs. If your loss occurred under a Citizens policy that was later transferred to Slide, the Citizens policy form controls coverage on that loss — even if Slide is now servicing it. Document the date of loss vs. the transfer effective date carefully.
Yes. Drone imagery captures roof exterior — it does not capture interior damage, code-upgrade requirements, structural framing, sheathing rot, decking rot, underlayment, or attic damage. A public adjuster's onsite Xactimate scope adds these items.
Slide typically pays ACV (actual cash value) initially; RCV (replacement cost value) holdback is released as repairs are documented and invoiced. Don't accept ACV as final — file the RCV release once repairs are complete.
FL Statute 626.9744 requires matching replacement when partial repair leaves mismatched components on continuous surfaces. Slide disputes match routinely on roof and exterior claims. A public adjuster documents the continuous surface and the surrounding undamaged components to invoke the statute.
Slide hurricane deductibles are typically 2%–5% of Coverage A, selected at policy issuance, applied per calendar year (FL Statute 627.701(5)(a)).
Yes — Slide policies contain a standard appraisal clause. Each side picks an appraiser; the two appraisers select a neutral umpire; the umpire's signed award is binding on amount (not coverage).
Contingency 10–20% of additional recovery — capped at 10% in year one for declared-emergency claims (FL Statute 626.854(11)). No upfront fees. No fee if there's no recovery.
Send us your policy + denial letter. We'll tell you honestly whether you have a supplemental, reopened, or appraisal claim worth pursuing — and what it's likely worth.
No upfront cost. Takes about 60 seconds.
